To receive digital tickets (preferred):

    • At least two business days before the visit, the legislator’s office should email a signed letter to constituentcard@fieldmuseum.org.

    • The letter – on official letterhead – should include an image of the Constituent Card, name and contact email for the constituent, number of adults and children (ages 3-11) in the party (up to four guests total) and date of visit.

    • Constituent will receive an email with the tickets for basic admission, which will be valid on the day for which they are issued. Please note there is a maximum of four tickets per official per day.

    • Guest presents the Constituent Card at Guest Services, along with a letter signed by the card owner. The guest will receive up to four free General Admission tickets. Guest may be asked to provide identification.

Shedd offers timed entry to ensure a terrific experience for all guests and often sells out. It is highly recommended guests make advance reservations. Without a reservation, even with the Constituent Card, we cannot guarantee entry.

Please direct constituents to the instructions below. If they have any questions or need any convenience fees waived, please contact Constituent Services. Please note that Shedd receives a high volume of calls and email. Guests may need to wait on hold while calling and may not receive an email response immediately.

    • Advance reservations with the Constituent Card should be made at: sheddaquarium.org/promo

    • Add full price tickets to your cart and proceed to checkout.

    • On the last page of checkout, enter the promo code ERC2026 for up to 4 free tickets.

    • Arrive at your scheduled time, and present tickets along with the Constituent Card (no copies allowed) and signed letter to Shedd staff.

 

*NEW Digital Option

In 2026, some museums will accept a digital image/photocopy of a valid Constituent Card for entry if presented in the approved format. To prevent unauthorized use of the Constituent Card, the following is the only format that will be recognized at the museums.  Limit one digital image per museum per day.

Approved format is a LETTER on official letterhead which includes:

  • Image/photocopy of valid Constituent Card 
  • Name and contact information for constituent
  • Museum being visited
  • Number of guests
  • Date of visit
